Special Thursday Walk - Pencoyd Trail

Meet at Pencoyd bridge, off Main Street in Manayunk--just past the parking lot for the movie theater [Google Map]
Everyone welcome. Pay when ordering if staying for lunch. No registration.
You might not even know of the Pencoyd bridge in Manayunk. It crosses the river to a former industrial site that is now home to a hotel, restaurants, and apartments. We'll meet on the Manayunk side (see directions below), walk across the bridge, and stroll the Pencoyd Trail on the other side.
At the end of the walk, stay if you wish, for al fresco dining at The Landing Kitchen at the hotel on the Bala side (most salads or sandwiches around $15 to $17; click here for menu).
Accessibility: We'll walk a paved trail. There are short slopes at the bridge. There are steps or a ramp to the ordering counter for the restaurant.
Getting there: Look for the bridge immediately after the parking lot for the Main Street theater [Google Map]. There is a small parking lot at the bridge, and parking on Main Street. Click here for a view of the bridge entrance from Main Street.
