Join us on a visit to the highly acclaimed Museum of the American Revolution. The Museum's exhibition explores the ideas, events, and legacies of America's revolutionary beginnings, and includes an impressive collection of several thousand works of art, manuscripts, and printed work from the Revolutionary period. Impressive among them is one of George Washington's original war tents. Two of the tableaux present a Native American experience and a privateer ship. There is an excellent orientation video.
And there is a special exhibit, "The Declaration's Journey," exploring the history and global impact of the Declaration of Independence from 1776 to today. With more than 100 nations having integrated its ideals into their own independence movements, our Declaration of Independence has become one of the most influential political documents in modern history,

Getting there: Meet us at the East Falls Station for the 9:49 train to Jefferson Station. We'll transfer to the Market Frankford (L1) line at the 13th Street Station, then walk from 2nd Street. Don't forget your SEPTA Senior Fare Card!
Accessibility: The museum is accessible, but it's a big step up into the train, plus stairs at stations, and a total of 10 minutes or more of walking,
