Curious about what all the construction was about at Penn Charter? Then join us on a tour of the newly completed Richard A. Balderston OPC '69 Lower School.
On arrival, you will see an 80,000 square-foot U-shaped building embracing a large outdoor space and playground. Weather permitting, we may see the outdoor classrooms on the second-floor rooftops. And here's just a sample of what's inside:
- A library with more than 2,500 square feet of working space.
- A "Friendship Hall" outside the library to offer a flexible space for student activities, displays of student work, and more
- A health suite with ample space for student care.
- A "Discovery Room" for students to engage in active indoor play and projects.
- An "Activities Room" that includes a stage for performances and more.

We'll meet at the main entrance (look for the red door) for light refreshments, then the head of school and others associated with the school will show us the building and answer questions.
And why not catch a basketball game afterward? At 5:30, the varsity girls team and the junior varsity boys team will both be playing Germantown Academy at Penn Charter's Graham Athletics & Wellness Center.
