Navin Sasikumar's "Navin on Nature" column is a regular feature in East Falls NOW.  He's led birding and nature walks for the Village from time to time.  This spring many of us joined him in a search for plants and lichens in the urban environment.

This time, we'll look for insects! We'll also see plants in a different environment, in Blue Bell Park. We'll be using the iNaturalist app to record our observations, and see what it can identify either using computer vision or by passing it off to a community of experts. We'll start with a quick lesson on how to use the app before heading out on the walk, so make sure to download it before you come if you can, from Google Play or the Apple App Store.  Do register, either on line or by calling  267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6), so we can tell you if plans change because of the weather.

Accessibility:  Some walking on grass and pavement, possibly on paths or uneven ground.
